‘Frenetic’ is a reflection on the back-and-forth between 2 extremes: The frantic pace many of us internet-connected city dwellers are subjected to, and the retreat to quietude often found in nature.
More often than not, these rhythms are irregular or unbalanced. And the withdrawal to solitude is known only by the lack of “go-go-go” we’re so well aquatinted with. Because these cadences aren’t measured, we don’t know how to rest well, and thus we don’t truly know how to work well. The 2 go hand in hand.
If you’re reading this, you probably know what I’m getting at. I hope you find deep rest wherever you are today.
*All financial support for this song goes towards supporting the Prairie Sage Protectors’ Sunday outreach.
Every week from 12-4, Prairie Sage Protectors set up at Mary Burlie Park in Edmonton to BBQ, provide harm reduction supplies, first aid treatment & provisions, hygiene supplies, clothing, tents, and advocacy to serve members of our community living rough. On average this costs $200 a week but can run up to $600
